MEA40702 Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)

Employees in the trade of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical) maintain, inspect and undertake fault diagnosis of airframe and engine systems, components and accessories on aircraft. These may include landing gears, wheels and brakes, pressurisation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, environmental control systems, fire detection and preventions systems, undercarriage and ice and rain protection systems.

Applicants for trade recognition should provide evidence to demonstrate at least 4 years practical experience in the following trade competencies.

In addition to any other evidence supporting an application for trade recognition, applicants are encouraged to use this checklist as a self assessment competency guide and lodge it with the application.
