AUR30805 Certificate III in Automotive Body Vehicle (Vehicle Glazing)

Employees in the trade of Automotive Vehicle Body (Vehicle Glazing) work in a mobile service unit or workshop repairing and/or replacing windscreens and side and rear glass to motor vehicles such as cars, trucks and vans.

Applicants for trade recognition should provide evidence to demonstrate at least 4 years practical experience in the following trade competencies.

In addition to any other evidence supporting an application for trade recognition, applicants are encouraged to use this checklist as a self assessment competency guide and lodge it with the application.

ONE - The following units of competence are compulsory Check
AURC270103A Apply safe working practices
Plus a minimum of 1 of the following 3 units of competence:
AURC272003A Apply environmental regulations and best practice in a workplace or business (applicable to glaziers, window tinters, etc who are not dealing with the toxic substances found in mechanical or body repair workplaces)
AURT271781A Implement and monitor environmental regulations in the automotive mechanical industry (applicable to vehicle dismantlers/assemblers)
AURV371481A Implement and monitor environmental regulations and best practice in the body repair industry (applicable specifically to those in a body repair workshop)
TWO - Applicants must be competent in 20 units of competency from the Vehicle Body Inventory*. These units must include:
10 units of competence from the Vehicle Body cluster – Glass/Windscreens/Tinting group
THREE - Applicants must be competent in 6 units of competence from the Retail, Service and Repair* or any endorsed training package that meet the needs of the enterprise
