VOCATIONAL TRAINING ORDER

The following Vocational Training Order is made under section 6 of the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001 in relation to the recognised trade vocation of Beauty Therapy.

Citation

The Order is cited as the Beauty Therapy Order.

Order

The Order is given below.

(a) Term of training

(i) Full-time

Training shall be given for:

or until achievement of the competencies relevant to this Vocational Training Order is demonstrated.

(ii) School based part-time apprenticeships

WRB40105 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy is suitable for delivery in schools.

Training shall be given for a nominal period of four years comprising:

• two years part-time while at school where the apprentice will undertake 100 days of work-based training and
• two years full-time post school.
  

(b) Probationary periods

The probationary periods, based on the nominal terms of training for the apprenticeships established under this Vocational Training Order, shall be:

(c) Competency outcomes

Apprentices will be trained in and achieve competence in the units of competency specified in WRB04 Beauty Therapy Training Package.

(d) Course of study to be undertaken

Apprentices will undertake WRB40105 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy from WRB04 Beauty Training Package.

Date of Effect

The Order will take effect from the date of publication in the NSW Government Gazette.

Availability for Inspection

A copy of the Vocational Training Order may be inspected at any State Training Services Regional Office of the Department of Education and Training or see Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
