Registration of Group Training Organisations - A Vocational Training Guideline

Issued: 21 March 2003

Pursuant to section 4 of the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001 (the Act), the following guideline is issued in relation to the registration of group training organisations in NSW in accordance with section 30 of the Act.

From 1 January 2003 an organisation seeking registration as a group training organisation in NSW is required to meet the National Standards for Group Training Organisations (the National Standards) in Attachment 1 as the minimum operational standards.

Registration requirements are identified in the Group Training Registration Kit: National Standards. Registration is for a period of three years for group training organisations operating in NSW in the last 2 years, and with a minimum of 10 apprentices/trainees. New organisations will be registered for an initial period of 12 months.

This guideline replaces the previous Vocational Training Guideline “Arrangements for the registration of group training organisations” issued on 13 May 2002.
